Video Project Proposal
I have chosen this option for myself, because I feel that I can best express myself through my videos. Making videos is a passion of mine, and they are the best platform which I can get my message across. This is a good way to reach the students, because by actually physically watching a video, rather than reading something, they will be able to understand what I am trying to convey. The video will be of friends and family, answering the simple question- why do you read? For some, reading is a very important aspect of their life. In a short response, they will answer the question in their own words. The question will be presented on the screen in the beginning of the video, which each clip showing the different responses from the people in the video. The characters in the video will just be everyday people, not all reading enthusiasts. I plan to have music in the video, playing in the background. Editing wise, the people will answer their questions, moving between each person being interviewed. I feel that I can make this a very professional video, and explanation as to why people read, and what reading means to them. After the making of this video, I plan to post it on my twitter, for all of my followers to see. I know that a video is the best way for me to get my message across.

    I like how you are gonna get all kinds of voices from around the school. You are also very good at making videos. Will the video be shown in home room?

    Hey Reed, your video project is approved. Have you considered who you will interview? How many interviews will there be? How long do you plan on making your video? (Will it fit the 2:20 that Twitter allows or will it be longer and posted to YouTube and then linked to your Twitter?) What type of music are you thinking? I'm looking forward to another amazing Michelini video production.

    Love the idea of a video campaign Reed and cant wait to see this come alive. I also like the idea of interviewing your friends and family and proposing the question of why they love to read.

1. I have had mixed experiences with English classes at U of D so far. As a student, I enjoy English a lot. My experience just depended on the teacher that I had, and the classroom environment. One thing that I really enjoy about English classes at U of D is the fact that we can let our creativity flow, and it has always been an interesting subject to me. In English class, it is really interesting to gather in a circle, and just discuss what we are reading. This allows all of us to see each others perspective, 2. I enjoy reading certain genres. Some of my favorite genres are nonfiction, and historical fiction. I really enjoy these genres, because I like to learn about the past, and I find it helpful to know certain things. Whether it is a book on a band from the 60s, or an event that happened 100 years ago, I find these genres very interesting, and they are my favorite. 3. Fantasy/Science Fiction

I prefer to read fantasy over science fiction. Some of my fantasy novels that I have read are The Ranger's Apprentice, Harry Potter, The Lightning Thief, and many others. I prefect fantasy over science fiction, because it expands what is possible. In fantasy, literally anything you think of can become reality, I really enjoy that aspect of the genre. I still really enjoy science fiction, such as the Hunger Games novels. In the end though, fantasy is my favorite over science fiction.  My favorite fantasy or science fiction location from a novel or movie is the Star Wars universe. When I was a kid, I was absolutely obsessed with Star Wars, and the characters/setting. I love how unique each character is, and the different characteristics of the universe. I would want to go there myself. Despite the constant danger that the characters were always in, I think it would be a crazy adventure, and would be worth whatever happens.
